Our aim is to introduce prospective franchisees/business buyers to franchisors/businesses based on an algorithmic matching service; lending and staff recruitment (Service). The Service is also inclusive of all other ancillary products and services provided by us from time to time.

Our collection, use and disclosure of personal information is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as amended from time to time (Privacy Act). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with requirements of the Privacy Act and applies in respect of this website, our apps, and any of our content on social media sites (Sites) on any computer, mobile phone, tablet, console or other device (Device).

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Personally Identifiable Information

  • photographic and video images; and
  • other personal information (including information contained in communications between you and us, or forms or other documents provided to us by you and any information we are required to collect by law).

We may also collect personal information as we reasonably determine necessary from time to time for any purpose in connection with the general conduct of our business, for example, in dealing with our service providers and contractors.

We only collect personal information which has been provided to us by you. If you would prefer that we do not collect any personal information from you, please do not provide us with any such information. However, please note that you may not be able to use the Service or the Sites if they depend on the collection of that personal information, including if the collection of that personal information is required by law.

IP Addresses

An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a small set of numbers automatically assigned to your computer when you log onto the internet. We may use general information about your visit to any of the Sites, including your IP address and the date and time of your visit, to assist us in improving the quality and useability of the Sites. Typically, we will not link IP addresses with personal information, however, in rare instances we may need to link IP addresses to personal information if it becomes necessary to enforce compliance with the Terms and Conditions.

Cookies are small text files placed on your hard-disk that allows the server to identify and interact more effectively with your device. We may use cookies to enable us to identify you as a return user and personalise and enhance your experience and your use of any of the Sites.   • marketing and advertising of the Service;

  • conducting market research;
  • confirming your identity; and
  • complying with any law.

If we intend to use or disclose your personal information for a purpose other than the primary purpose for which it was originally collected, to the extent required by law, we will ensure that:

  • you have consented to such use or disclosure of your personal information; or
  • the use or disclosure is required, authorised or otherwise permitted by law.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that third party recipients are obliged to protect the privacy and security of your personal information and use it only for the purpose for which it is disclosed.

Occasionally, we may be required to disclose your personal information to third parties that are located outside of Australia. In this instance, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that those third parties, in whichever jurisdiction, adhere to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

We do not provide or sell your personal information to other organisations without your consent.

STORAGE

We take all reasonable steps to ensure any personal information which you provide to us is protected from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure or alteration, both online and offline.

Further, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify personal information if it is no longer needed for any purpose for which the information may be used or disclosed in accordance with the Privacy Act.

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION AND YOUR OTHER RIGHTS

You have the following rights in relation to the personal information we hold about you:

  • Your right of access – If you ask us, we’ll confirm whether we’re processing your personal information and, if necessary, provide you with a copy of that personal information (along with certain other details). If you require additional copies, we may need to charge a reasonable fee.
  • Your right to rectification – If the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you are entitled to request to have it rectified. If you are entitled to rectification and if we’ve shared your personal information with others, we’ll let them know about the rectification where possible. If you ask us, where possible and lawful to do so, we’ll also tell you who we’ve shared your personal information with so that you can contact them directly.
  • Your right to erasure – You can ask us to delete or remove your personal information in some circumstances such as where we no longer need it or if you withdraw your consent (where applicable). If you are entitled to erasure and if we’ve shared your personal information with others, we’ll let them know about the erasure where possible.
